My Philosophy

I'm a specialist in designing and developing digital-first learning experiences, with a strong focus on improving UX and thinking about training through a system-focused lens.

I am always asking the question:

“How can we help the learner succeed?”

Then, I will pick the tool and plan the strategy to make that happen.

My essential toolkit

A logo with a white lowercase 'a' on a blue background.
Icons of Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, and Adobe After Effects.

Articulate 360 is my go-to for developing learning modules. With the ability to create custom interactive simulations in Storyline and the device-friendly adaptability of Rise, Articulate is a useful suite of tools that fits most modular learning situations.

Audio and video are incredibly useful in bringing personalization to otherwise dry learning content. I use Adobe Audition for basic audio editing and I use Premiere Pro and Camtasia to make custom videos.

I use Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat Pro to create handouts, edit graphics, and design visuals for learning modules and online courses.

Accessibility is essential for me. I believe everyone, regardless of ability, should have access to quality training. I use JAWS and NVDA screen readers to ensure 508 Compliance for all the products I have created for government clients.
